“"Sant Antoni is among the towns with the highest per capita income in Spain, and this translates into its pensioners also having high purchasing power."
In municipalities like Sant Antoni de Benaixeve, which has nearly 11,000 inhabitants and 879 retirees, the population's income level significantly influences these differences. A municipal spokesperson noted that the professional profile of residents, often civil servants, teachers, or doctors, contributes to higher pensions.
Despite these disparities, pensioners themselves state that their income allows them to maintain an active life, participating in activities such as sports, travel, or family care. However, some express the wish that all retirees could receive the same amount.
