The Nàquera Town Council has filed a complaint with the Civil Guard over a series of serious threats on social media, targeting local government members and participants in municipal activities.

The complaint was lodged due to messages disseminated from anonymous profiles, which include explicit expressions of violence. These threats occurred between April 6 and 17, 2026, following a publication on the Town Council's official Instagram profile regarding Nàquera's urban agenda.
Screenshots provided as evidence show comments with insults and direct threats. Among them, phrases such as “I'm going to hold a shooting contest in the back of the head for all those who promote, participate, and attend” or warnings of physical assaults on individuals identified by their appearance have been recorded.

"The messages could constitute a crime of threats and highlight the impact that this type of comment can have on public order and the safety of potential attendees at the activities."

Furthermore, allusions to possible attacks against attendees and their families, as well as repeated disqualifications, have been detected. The analyzed messages also contain expressions of hatred, accusations, and references to specific local events, including activities related to animals.
Some comments question the legality of municipal activities, while others escalate the tone with insults and calls for violence. The complaint includes the message captures as evidence and initiates the relevant proceedings for clarifying the facts, which are now in the hands of the competent authorities for investigation.
