Thousands of people have participated in Llíria in the traditional rogativa organized by the Llíria City Council in honor of Sant Vicent Ferrer, the central act of the Vicentine festivities that brings together residents and visitors.

Participants accompanied the image of the city's co-patron from the Basilica de la Asunción to the Hermitage of Sant Vicent. Present at this event were Mayor Paco Gorrea, Festival Councilor Mª José Llopis, members of the Municipal Corporation, as well as the Clavaría and Mayoralía, and representatives of the Brotherhood of Sant Vicent Ferrer.
Upon arrival at Sant Vicent Park, attendees shared a traditional lunch in this natural space. Subsequently, a concelebrated mass with a sermon in Valencian was held at the hermitage.
This celebration commemorates the “Miracle of Water” attributed to Sant Vicent Ferrer in the year 1410, when he managed to make a dry spring flow. As a sign of gratitude, the waters were blessed next to the olive tree where the Valencian saint preached.
On the return journey to Llíria, in the Pla de l’Arc neighborhood, the emotional meeting of the images of the two local patrons, Sant Miquel and Sant Vicent, took place. The festive day culminated with the performance of the Tokyo Band orchestra in the Pla de l’Arc parking lot.
The festivities in honor of Sant Vicent Ferrer will continue in Llíria until next Sunday with a varied program of religious and cultural activities.
