The series of recitals will feature performances by the three finalists: Nabeel Hayek, Uladzislau Khandohi, and Ruggiero Fiorella. The program will kick off this Thursday, April 16, at 7:30 PM with a recital by Hayek at the Centre Cultural La Beneficència. Additionally, the Professional Music Conservatory of Llíria will host a concert by the young Israeli on Friday, April 17, at 8:00 PM.
Hayek, who performed Johannes Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 1 in the grand final, will also visit the stage of the Saló Noble of the Casa de Cultura de Xàtiva on Sunday, April 19, at 11:30 AM. Finally, the Royal Academy of Spain in Rome will be the setting on Sunday, April 24, for the concert that will conclude the tour of the most international Iturbi winner, which saw 200 candidates from 40 countries participate.
Nabeel Hayek (Nazareth 2001) is a graduate of the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music and holds a master's degree from the Juilliard School. Since 2017, Hayek has been mentored by Murray Perahia. He is an active chamber musician and collaborative pianist with extensive experience, continually expanding his repertoire as a soloist with a great passion for contemporary and 20th-century music. Hayek has given recitals in Europe, Asia, and North America, and has performed for the Arthur Rubinstein International Music Society and the Israel Philharmonic.
The recital series will continue in September with several engagements in different municipalities by Belarusian Uladzislau Khandohi, second prize winner, and Italian Ruggiero Fiorella, third place. Fiorella will open the September calendar with recitals at the Multiusos de Chelva venue (September 18 at 7:30 PM). The tour will continue at the Centre Cultural La Beneficència de València (September 19 at 7:00 PM) and at the Centre Cultural de Sollana (September 20 at 7:00 PM).
Also in September, Uladzislau Khandohi will perform at the Mencía de Mendoza municipal auditorium in Ayora on the 24th at 8:00 PM. The parish of Sant Vicent Màrtir in Guadassuar will also host a recital by the second-place winner on September 25 at 9:00 PM. The performer will also offer a concert on September 26 at 7:00 PM at the Centre Cultural La Beneficència de València.
Access to the recitals taking place at La Beneficència is free, but tickets are required and can be collected at the cultural center's Information point. Concerts in the municipalities will have free admission until full capacity is reached.
