The Generalitat Valenciana has given the green light to the tender for the construction of a new outpatient building at Sagunto Hospital, aiming to enhance healthcare capacity.

The head of the Consell emphasized that this initiative represents a step forward in the commitment to guarantee quality public healthcare for all citizens of the Valencian Community. With this expansion, it is expected to increase consultation capacity and, therefore, improve the quality of care provided to patients.

"We want to continue improving the healthcare infrastructure of our territory day by day so that Valencians, Alicantinos, and Castellonenses have the healthcare resources they deserve and we can continue advancing towards more humane and personalized healthcare."

the President of the Generalitat
This action at Sagunto Hospital joins other expansion projects in centers such as the Hospital Clínico and Hospital General de València, the Hospital de Orihuela, or the Hospital de la Vega Baja. These investments seek to increase healthcare capacity and optimize patient care through an increase in resources.
The Valencian Government is executing the largest budget in the history of Valencian public healthcare, with 9.186 million euros. This investment has allowed for a large number of improvement works and the construction of new healthcare centers throughout the territory.
The new outpatient building at Sagunto Hospital will have a total investment of 28 million euros and an area close to 9,500 m². This will significantly increase the healthcare capacity of the facilities to adequately respond to existing demand, given the population increase that Sagunto has registered in recent years.
The project includes an autonomous building, yet connected to the rest of Sagunto Hospital, which will generate fluid communication at all levels of the new center. Access will be contiguous to the current hospital entrance on its east side and will feature five floors housing various main areas.
Planned areas include the Home Hospitalization Unit, Patient Care and Information Services offices, and specialized consultations such as Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology, Pediatrics, Odontology, Allergology, Anesthesiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Hematology, Oncology, Urology, General Surgery and Digestive System, Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, and Neurology, in addition to reserve consultations. All floors will be visually connected through a bright central landscaped patio, where waiting rooms will be located.
