The strike day, which proceeded without incident, was marked by a notable absence of teaching staff and lower student attendance. Union sources described the call as "massive and historic," estimating participation between 70% and 75%, and even over 80% in most secondary schools.
The impact of the mobilization was also reflected in the classrooms, which were significantly emptier. According to CCOO estimates, only about 30% of students attended high schools. A union representative explained that "especially students from the first two years of ESO attended; however, in other levels, including second year of Bachillerato, more than 95% supported the strike and did not attend class."
Among the teaching staff, adherence was total in some centers, such as CEIP Mediterrani in Port de Sagunt or CEIP Santa Anna in Quartell, where 100% of staff not on leave or required for minimum services joined the strike. At CEIP Palància in Algímia d'Alfara, even minimum services were raffled off to demonstrate commitment to the call.
Other centers reported teacher participation exceeding 80%, including CEIP María Yocasta in Port de Sagunt, IES La Vall de Segó, CEIP Vilamar in Port de Sagunt, Sierra Calderona in Gilet, and IES Canet d'en Berenguer, according to data provided by STEPV. IES Clot del Moro in Sagunt reached nearly 80% adherence, while IES María Moliner recorded 70% and IES Jaume I 66%, a similar percentage to the IES Clot section in Algímia d'Alfara. At CEE Albanta, participation reached 50%.
Following the official figures from the Conselleria, the STEPV permanent committee in Camp de Morvedre offered a critical assessment, stating that "the data provided by the counselor once again demonstrate that she distorts the reality of the classrooms." Meanwhile, a regional representative from CCOO adopted a more conciliatory tone, indicating that "the turnout has been historic throughout the Country and even more so in this region, compared to others. We hope that the Conselleria reacts promptly and agrees to negotiate seriously."
