Complaints regarding the inadequate conditions of the Raval health center in Sagunt have multiplied, with the Popular Party pointing to the municipal government for its "lack of management" leaving the neighborhood without decent facilities.

The ongoing issues at the Raval health center in Sagunt continue to cause discontent among citizens. Following demands from the neighborhood association, CC OO, and Compromís, the Popular Party has now joined the call for "urgent solutions" for the healthcare facilities.
The municipal spokesperson for the PP, Ximo Catalán, has demanded that the rehabilitation of the health center be "immediately unblocked." While acknowledging that the building "is functional and meets current needs," he highlighted the presence of a "humidity problem in the basement," which serves as a storage area for medical products and materials.

"It is not a problem of lack of resources or political will from other administrations; it is that Darío Moreno's team is not doing its job."

Catalán reminded that maintaining the building in good condition is a "municipal responsibility" and criticized the explanations provided by the local government, led by Darío Moreno. The relocation of the service was proposed years ago when the Sagunt City Council rented two premises in Plaça de la Moreria, but they "remain empty with no concrete progress towards their opening."
The city council reiterated a few days ago that it continues to work on securing the necessary funding to adapt the leased properties. It argued that the PP's arrival in the Generalitat nullified a previous agreement to condition these facilities with regional funds. However, the Popular Party counters that there are available subsidies for the reform, repair, and maintenance of health facilities, as well as legal cooperation mechanisms with the Generalitat for the construction and expansion of Primary Care centers.
The local government, for its part, stated that "we have all the documentation prepared to apply for aid when it is announced for rented premises, because we did not do so in the last call as it was limited to municipally owned properties." The PP has announced that it will request all documentation related to the potential subsidy application to verify if it was managed correctly.
