Key projects include 2.2 million euros for the Gandia Arena, 1.9 million for the CV-60 road, and 150,000 euros for the restoration of the Collegiate Church bell tower. The regional accounts also include funding for the Serpis Greenway and studies on the rail connection between Gandia and Dénia.
The Popular Party representatives in the city have welcomed the inclusion of these items, describing them as a strategic commitment by the Consell to the municipality's development. According to party sources, the goal is to promote projects that improve quality of life and create new opportunities for citizens.
“"When administrations work together and put citizens' interests before partisan ones, results follow. These investments are a clear sign of the value of that collaboration and the Consell's commitment to Gandia."
Meanwhile, the municipal government has offered a critical assessment of the project. The head of Internal Government questioned the scope of some items, deeming them insufficient, and demanded payment of outstanding amounts that the city claims the Generalitat still owes.
The local government has announced it will analyze the budget document in detail to submit necessary claims. The goal is to defend Gandia's interests and demand that outstanding financial commitments to the town are met.
