This event, aimed at tourism sector professionals, focused on promoting environmentally friendly tourism and improving the management of protected natural spaces. The initiative gathered staff from tourism offices of various municipalities within this natural area.
The conference began in an emblematic setting like the Vía del Pórtico, where theory and practice were combined. Subsequently, participants moved to the City Hall, where a presentation was given on the signage of protected natural areas, a fundamental aspect for enhancing visitor experience without compromising environmental conservation.
“"It is essential to know each other better to be able to tell visitors what is happening in other municipalities."
The conference also included an interpretive visit to historical enclaves of Sagunto such as the Casa dels Berenguer, the Jewish Quarter, or the Roman Theater. This tour allowed attendees to see how natural and cultural heritage can complement each other when managed with sensitivity.
The park director, María José Modesto, emphasized the importance of these meetings for sharing concerns and advancing in a coordinated manner in the responsible use of the environment. The general feeling at the end of the conference was that of a consolidating network, with Sagunto serving as an example of balance between welcoming visitors and preserving its essence.
