Under the motto “Hands that add up”, the falla monument, created by the artist from Port de Sagunto, Antonio Verdugo, traces the company's evolution over five decades. The falla highlights professional, social, and occupational safety perspectives, combining emblematic elements of the industrial past such as the Blast Furnace, the elevated tank, or the Lurgi tower.
The monument also includes scenes reflecting progress in worker protection. Crowning the ensemble, a robot symbolizes the future collaboration between technology and people, supporting workers on a car, the main destination for the steel produced at the plant. This falla, which was ultimately saved from the flames, will endure as a symbol of the anniversary, following a 'plantà' that was accompanied by a 'mascletà' and a giant paella for the entire staff.
The commemorative program continued with a triple guided tour for employees and their families to the Blast Furnace, the Industrial Museum, and a tourist train ride through the city's main iron and steel emblems. In the second half of the year, conferences will be held, and various open days are planned for staff, their families, retirees, and institutions.
The grand finale will arrive in December with a musical event by the Unión Musical Porteña and a visual review of the activities held, at the Canet auditorium.
