Firefighters from Sagunt station recovered the body of a man this Wednesday from a rocky and difficult-to-access area near Sagunt Castle, after receiving a report of a possible injured person.

Firefighters from Sagunt station and the aerial rescue group GERA recovered the body of a man this afternoon in a rocky and difficult-to-access area near Sagunt Castle. According to the Provincial Consortium of Firefighters of Valencia, around 2:40 PM, Emergency Services received a call from someone who thought they had seen "what appeared to be an unconscious person".
Given the possibility of an injured person in that rural environment, which was hard to access, firefighters mobilized and attended the scene. Once there, rescuers confirmed it was the body of a lifeless man.
After receiving judicial authorization, firefighters evacuated the body by helicopter. At present, no details have been provided, and the circumstances of the death are still under investigation.
