The general assembly of La Lira Saguntina has unanimously agreed to request the city council to dedicate a street, square, or relevant public space to this musical society with over a hundred years of history. According to sources from La Lira, this request aims to recognize and value the entity's continuous work in fostering music education and training for young people in Sagunto and the region, as well as the general dissemination of music.
The society's representatives suggest that it would not be necessary to modify the existing street map, but rather that areas currently without official designation could be used. Possible locations proposed include the roundabout at the end of the Cronista Bru i Vidal bridge, the Monolith roundabout, the pedestrian walkway itself, or a bridge over the Palancia River that is still unnamed.
In the same assembly, a partial renewal of the Board of Directors was approved. The new composition will work to improve the musical, cultural, economic, and social aspects of the entity. The Board confirmed that, to the society's satisfaction, the bank loan will be canceled in June of this year, which, along with the energy savings from the solar panels installed last year, will free up funds for new projects.
