A vegetation fire declared this Sunday in the municipality of Segart has required the mobilization of a large emergency response, including aerial resources, in an area located in the heart of the Serra Calderona.

The fire was detected at 3:12 PM on the Murtal path, on a day marked by a pre-emergency alert for forest fire risk in the Valencian Community. Currently, there are no reports of damage to homes or preventive evacuations.
Two fire crews, three forest brigades (BRIFO) from the consortium, three command units, two water tenders, three forest firefighter units from the Generalitat, and three aerial resources from the Generalitat Valenciana were deployed to the site. Authorities classify it as a vegetation fire and have not yet confirmed the extent of the affected forest area or the exact surface burned.
Despite the deployment of aerial resources, emergency sources indicate that the fire's evolution is positive and that teams are working to prevent the flames from spreading in an environmentally sensitive area. Segart is located within the Serra Calderona, a natural space with abundant forest vegetation.
Extinguishing efforts are ongoing, and no data on potential personal or material damage has been released yet. Authorities will continue to monitor the operation in the coming hours.
