During a visit to the UTE Elche machinery park, Ruz conveyed his appreciation to the staff for “their tireless work and commitment to making Elche one of the cleanest cities in the country”. The mayor highlighted that the award “is even more valuable coming from a southern region, where very few towns have received the prize, as the climate complicates cleaning efforts”.
Accompanying the mayor were the Councilor for Public Services, Claudio Guilabert; the manager of UTE Elche, Alberto Bleda; and the head of the service, José Luis Orellana.
The City Council received the Platinum Broom on June 10th, during the International Urbanism and Environment Fair. These awards recognize excellence in city cleaning services and highlight the social, economic, and environmental impact of various initiatives related to waste management and urban care.
