A delegation from the Elche City Council, led by Mayor Pablo Ruz, visited the Chinese city of Guangzhou to establish contacts and attract investment, offering the expansion of the Business Park as a key opportunity.

The visit by Elche's government team to Guangzhou, specifically the Nansha district, aimed primarily at attracting investment and fostering synergies with this port city. This initiative is part of a prior agreement between both administrations to promote international and technological cooperation.
One of the most notable meetings took place this Wednesday with the district government, attended by institutional representative Liu Xiaotong, a member of the District's Standing Committee. According to municipal sources, the encounter served to advance bilateral cooperation and explore new opportunities for joint economic development.
Representing the Elche delegation were Mayor Pablo Ruz and the Councillor for Economic Promotion, Samuel Ruiz. The latter highly praised the summit, highlighting the interest shown in strategic city projects, such as the expansion of the Elche Business Park and entrepreneurship initiatives promoted by the City Council.

"We discussed three key areas: commerce, thanks to our infrastructures like the airport; agriculture, with products such as the mollar pomegranate; and industry."
