The Elche City Council has decided to centralize all regularization procedures at the Pangea Office starting this Wednesday, April 22, aiming to relieve the pressure on the Municipal Citizen Service Offices (Omac).

This measure seeks to alleviate the workload of the Omac offices, which had processed 1,800 applications related to this process. The new location for processing will be at the Social Center of Plaza Barcelona, on Mario Pastor Sempere Street, 43, operating Monday to Friday during morning hours.
The main request being managed is the vulnerability certificate. However, the PSOE has expressed concern about the insufficient resources, as the Pangea Office only has three workers to handle the large number of applications.

"We are not going to question the City Council's decision regarding the Pangea Office because it is true that the Omacs are being decongested from the tension they have been experiencing in recent hours. However, we will ask for collaboration and the reorganization of social services staff for the duration of the process."

The socialist group has urged the mayor to reorganize social services staff to ensure adequate attention during the extraordinary regularization process promoted by the Government of Spain, ensuring that no one is left without the possibility of processing their certificate.
