The Expo Riva Schuh & Garda Bags fair, considered one of the most important dates on the international calendar for footwear and accessories, hosts the presence of 28 exhibitors from Elche this year. These companies represent 70% of the total Spanish participation in the event.
The Spanish participation, organized by the Federation of Spanish Footwear Industries, includes a total of forty exhibitors and sixty brands. The Minister of Industry, Trade, Innovation, and Tourism, Marián Cano, has visited the fair to witness firsthand the commitment of Valencian companies to international events.
“"Once again, we see firsthand the commitment of companies from the Valencian Community, and in this case from the province of Alicante, to major international events."
Cano highlighted the positive impact of this participation on opening new markets, generating international contacts, validating trends, capturing strategic information, and strengthening the collective brand of Valencian footwear.
Expo Riva Schuh is consolidating itself as the leading international fair for mid-range volume footwear and marks the beginning of the calendar for the presentation of new collections for Summer 2027.
The Valencian Community remains the leading exporting region for footwear in Spain, accounting for 32% of the national total, and reaching 38% for leather footwear. In the first quarter of the year, footwear exports from the Community amounted to 352.5 million euros, a 2.6% decrease compared to the previous year. In 2025, the value of exports was 1,137 million euros, with a slight decrease of 0.6%.
