André da Silva begins a new chapter in his football career at his hometown club, FC Porto. The player, originally from Baguim do Monte, has signed for one season with an option for another with the Portuguese club. He spent the 2025/26 season with Elche CF, on loan from RB Leipzig with a purchase option.
Although he had expressed his desire to continue playing in LaLiga EA Sports with Elche CF, FC Porto's economic offer proved decisive. This improvement in terms, coupled with the fact that Silva was one of the highest-paid players in the squad previously managed by Eder Sarabia, led to his departure.
During his time at the Elche club, Silva played 31 league matches, scoring 10 goals, making him Elche CF's top scorer for the season that has just concluded. The forward has also played for teams such as AC Milan, Sevilla FC, Real Sociedad, Eintracht Frankfurt, Werder Bremen, and has represented Portugal at the senior international level, winning the 2019 Nations League.
