The Guardamar del Segura City Council has put out to tender the service for the installation and supply of material for the maritime buoyage of its coastline, with a budget of 118,249.16 euros, to regulate beach uses and guarantee the safety of bathers during the summer season.

This contract, with an estimated value of 195,453.16 euros and a two-year execution period, allows interested companies to submit their offers until April 16 through the Public Sector Contracting Platform.
The service includes the supply, installation, maintenance, and subsequent removal of buoys and signaling elements. These will delimit the coastal strip reserved for swimming, the entry and exit channels for boats, and other sensitive points along the coast. The main objective is to reconcile the various uses of the beaches, separating bathing areas from those reserved for navigation, water sports, or boat transit.
The buoyage system must be installed before June 1, coinciding with the start of the bathing season, and will remain operational until October 31. However, the nautical channel for winter use will remain installed throughout the year, with periodic maintenance tasks to ensure its proper functioning.
The actions will affect the entire coastal front of Guardamar, including the beaches of Els Tossals, dels Vivers, Babilònia, Centre, La Roqueta, El Moncaio, del Camp, and Les Ortigues. A band of buoys parallel to the coast will be installed to delimit the swimming area and several nautical channels for the entry and exit of boats.
Additionally, the contract provides for the specific buoyage of the war bunker located on Els Tossals beach, using a perimeter of buoys to warn of the structure's presence and prevent bathers or boats from approaching. The successful bidder will be responsible for the periodic and corrective maintenance of the system, including the replacement of damaged or displaced elements and revisions during high season, to maintain the buoyage in optimal safety conditions.
The award procedure is processed through an open procedure, primarily valuing the improvements offered by companies, with a weight of 70% in the final score, while the price will have a weighting of 30%.
