Torrevieja City Council has presented the full deployment of the green zone maintenance service, which includes a staff of over one hundred workers and 87 specialized teams to manage 363 spaces across the municipality.

The council has confirmed that the park and garden conservation service is now fully operational throughout the municipal area. One year after the contract was awarded, the company in charge has completed the provision of technical resources, including a fleet of 74 vehicles, featuring electric units and aerial platforms for high-altitude work.
The operation, officially presented at Parque de Europa, aims to improve the management of over 3.4 million square meters of green areas. According to municipal sources, the deployment will allow for pruning, clearing, cleaning, and irrigation system maintenance with greater efficiency and lower acoustic impact thanks to new battery-powered machinery.
In addition to routine tasks, the contract includes the renovation and construction of new green spaces. An example of these actions is the intervention in the Sector 25 park, an area that had remained unattended for two decades and is now undergoing landscape improvements.

The service does not only seek aesthetics, but the well-being of citizens through the improvement of the city's green spaces.
