This action primarily aims to reinforce accessibility, safety, and functionality in these coastal areas, which are particularly important due to their high influx of visitors throughout the year. The project includes the repair and adaptation of pedestrian accesses, the installation and renovation of adapted ramps, the replacement of railings, the improvement of safety elements, and the adaptation of infrastructure for people with reduced mobility.
In Cala Piteras, the actions will focus on improving access and reinforcing safety in an area of special landscape value with rocky characteristics. The works will allow for the renovation of protective elements, stabilization of existing ramps, and facilitation of safer access for users, especially during peak periods.
Playa del Cura, one of the busiest beaches in the municipality, will undergo interventions to maintain its quality and safety standards. Key actions include the repair of accesses and walkways, the renovation of adapted elements, and the improvement of universal accessibility.
In Cabo Cervera, the works will be aimed at improving the functionality of existing infrastructure and facilitating user access. This will include repair work on deteriorated elements and improvement of transit areas, as well as the installation of new safety systems adapted to current regulations.
The City Council thus reinforces its commitment to coastal maintenance and the improvement of public infrastructure. The actions incorporate criteria of universal accessibility, safety, and environmental sustainability. The project also includes social and environmental measures, such as the use of environmentally friendly materials and the possibility of promoting the hiring of people with difficulties accessing the labor market.
