The Parks and Gardens Department of the Torrevieja City Council has carried out an improvement project in the El Limonar area, planting nearly 200 mulberry trees and renovating urban furniture to make the space more pleasant and accessible for residents.

This intervention has focused on the green area located next to Rafael Antón street, parallel to the CV-905, with the aim of continuing to advance in the adaptation and enhancement of the urban spaces in the municipality of Torrevieja.
In recent days, the teams have worked on planting nearly 200 mulberry trees, a species particularly suitable for urban environments due to its high resistance to climatic conditions, rapid growth, and ability to create large shaded areas. This action will improve the thermal comfort of the space, increase the tree mass, and promote the creation of more pleasant and livable areas for residents.

"This action has been completed with the renovation of urban furniture by replacing a total of 12 benches, improving user attention, accessibility, and the functionality of this space."

Concha Sala · Councillor for Parks and Gardens
These actions are part of continuous interventions in different parts of the city with the aim of offering more cared-for, sustainable, and adapted environments to the needs of citizens. The department reminds everyone of the importance of respecting both the new plantings and the urban furniture, contributing together to their correct maintenance and conservation.
With this type of intervention, the Torrevieja City Council is moving forward to achieve a greener, more accessible, and pleasant city, enhancing the quality of life in its common spaces.
