The Prosecutor's Office is requesting an initial sentence of four and a half years in prison for a man accused of allegedly violently assaulting the owner of the property where he resided in Torrevieja. The case will be tried in the Seventh Section of the Provincial Court of Alicante, based in Elche.
According to the Public Ministry's filing, the altercation occurred on July 13, 2024, at the defendant's residence. After a heated argument began between the tenant and the landlord, the accused allegedly started to strike the victim all over his body, continuing the assault with kicks even after the landlord had fallen to the ground.
As a consequence of the severe beating, the victim suffered serious injuries: a fracture of three ribs, the loss of two teeth, and multiple contusions throughout his body. For these reasons, he is charged with a crime of bodily harm.
