The XXXVII Regional School Theater Exhibition in Orihuela features 27 performances from May 5 to 28 at the Teatro Circo Atanasio Díe, with participation from nine educational centers in Vega Baja.

The Education Councilor of Orihuela City Council has presented the XXXVII Regional School Theater Exhibition, a consolidated initiative that, after almost four decades, brings together students from various educational centers in Vega Baja. The aim is to promote theater as an educational tool.
The exhibition will take place at the Teatro Circo Atanasio Díe from May 5 to 28. A total of 27 theater performances have been scheduled, involving nine educational centers from Orihuela, Torrevieja, Callosa de Segura, and municipal districts.

"It is a source of pride to see how an educational project that is now in its 37th edition remains fully relevant, fostering essential values such as camaraderie, teamwork, and creativity."

the Education Councilor
The councilor emphasized the importance of theater in the school environment as a formative tool, as it allows students to enter the world of art, develop communication skills, and, above all, strengthen group work, which is key in today's educational system. He also highlighted the regional nature of the initiative, which each year includes participation from centers in other municipalities, consolidating its position as a benchmark event in Vega Baja.
Participating centers in this edition include IES Tháder, IES Mare Nostrum (Torrevieja), IES Santiago Grisolía (Callosa de Segura), MUDIC Jesús Carnicer, Colegio Jesús María San Agustín, CEIP San Bartolomé, CD Oratorio Festivo, Colegio Santo Domingo, and CEIP Virgen de Montserrate (Torremendo).
The program includes a wide variety of styles and scenic proposals, from classical theater to contemporary and innovative productions. Performances will begin daily at 10:00 AM and will be aimed at students from different educational stages, from Early Childhood and Primary Education to Secondary and Baccalaureate. Admission will be free, although prior reservation through the Teatro Circo is recommended to organize attendance.
