Firefighters continue to work on extinguishing a fire that broke out on Saturday afternoon in the outdoor yard of Desguace Mora, located on the Orihuela-Almoradí road, in the municipality of Orihuela.

The alert for the incident was received at 15:52 on Saturday, and the fire initially affected the exterior area of the facility's premises. According to the Alicante Fire Consortium, the fire evolved favorably after the intervention of the deployed personnel.
To control the situation, several units from the Almoradí and Orihuela fire stations were mobilized. These teams managed to sectorize the fire, thus preventing its spread inside the scrapyard premises.
As of 11:00 AM this Sunday, there is hardly any flame, and resources are being progressively withdrawn. Nevertheless, the Provincial Firefighters have reported that the fire has not yet been completely extinguished.
