This collective success, organized by the Basketball Federation of the Valencian Community, consolidates the great sporting moment the region is experiencing. All three teams have shown exceptional performance, culminating in a memorable campaign.
The Torrevieja team has been one of the main protagonists of the season. They were crowned champions of the Valencian preferential category with an impressive record of 24 wins and only 2 losses, achieving promotion to the regional league. Furthermore, they stood out as the highest-scoring team in the entire category. This success marks their third consecutive promotion, a meteoric rise that has taken them from the second zonal division to the regional level in just three years.
The CB Bigastro is following a similar trajectory, continuing to grow by leaps and bounds. After being promoted last season to the first zonal division, this year they have achieved another leap in category to preferential. The team, strengthened with players from Orihuela, maintained the fight for the lead from the start in an extremely close league, where barely two victories separated the champion from the seventh-placed team. On the decisive matchday, the Bigastro team depended on themselves to win the title and did not fail, closing the season with 20 wins and 4 losses.
For its part, CB Guardamar has had an impeccable campaign. With the recovery of players and the incorporation of new talent, the team has once again established itself as a benchmark for regional basketball. Their dominance has been absolute from the beginning, finishing the season undefeated with a perfect record of 20 wins. This performance allows them to be promoted to the first zonal division and confirms their return to the provincial elite.
The numbers reflect the magnitude of the collective achievement: three champions, three success stories, and a common denominator: the unstoppable growth of basketball in the Vega Baja.
