A fire in an apartment block in the town of Torrevieja forced the evacuation of residents and the rescue of several people and animals, with no injuries reported.

The fire occurred in a building on Ramon Gallut street in Torrevieja on Friday night. Firefighters from the Provincial Consortium quickly mobilized, confirming that the flames originated on the third floor of the building.
The large amount of smoke and flames, which were visible from the balcony, necessitated the intervention of numerous fire and Local Police units. The fire started around 8:00 PM and was fully developed upon the arrival of emergency teams.
As a result of the incident, three homes were affected. Firefighters had to rescue four people and three animals from inside the building. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Throughout Saturday, firefighters continued working in the area to carry out sanitation tasks. These efforts were crucial to prevent the detachment of facade elements, which could pose a danger after the fire.
