The Civil Guard has dismantled a criminal group allegedly dedicated to the theft of construction material in San Miguel de Salinas, resulting in the arrest of two men and the investigation of a third, attributed with crimes of theft and belonging to a criminal group.

The operation began after the manager of a construction site reported the disappearance of building materials. The ROCA Team of the Civil Guard of Torrevieja, along with the Investigation Area, took charge of the inquiries to clarify what happened and identify the perpetrators.
The analysis of the evidence collected in the area allowed for the identification of three individuals involved in the theft. The investigation determined that the suspects accessed the construction site with a van and several cars, operating during daylight hours, a circumstance that allowed them to enter and exit without arousing suspicion.
Agents also confirmed that the group operated in broad daylight, taking advantage of the normal environment to facilitate the commission of the acts and the transfer of the stolen material. In total, nearly 600 formwork planks were stolen, valued at over 6,500 euros.
As a result of the operation, the Civil Guard arrested two of the implicated individuals and investigated a third, who was already in prison after being arrested by another unit while under surveillance days before the operation's exploitation. The three individuals are men aged 27, 37, and 58 years old, and had numerous previous records for similar offenses.
The proceedings have been forwarded to the Instruction Section of the Torrevieja Court of First Instance, which maintains an open investigation into the case.
