The municipal management has announced the upcoming planned actions, which include two meetings with families and an open day for the educational community to tour the center.
The first meeting will be held on Monday, May 4, at 8:00 PM, in the Municipal Auditorium. This meeting will be open to all families interested in learning about the project and the current reality of the new school.
On Wednesday, May 6, at 7:00 PM, the City Council will host a specific meeting aimed at families enrolling children between 2 and 3 years old. Additionally, on Saturday, May 9, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the council plans to organize an open day so that all families in Almoradí can visit the school and discover the modern facilities and services of the new center.
“"The new CEIP number 4 is a great opportunity for Almoradí and its families, because we are talking about a modern, spacious, and well-planned school, which will reinforce the educational quality of the municipality and offer more space, more attention, and more future to the students."
The new CEIP number 4 in Almoradí has 6,007 square meters built, capacity for 735 students, and a total of 30 classrooms. The center is designed for Early Childhood and Primary Education stages. Its main spaces include modern classrooms, a library, a music room, a computer room, a gym, and a school garden. It also has large outdoor areas, with 1,936 square meters of sports courts, and facilities adapted to the needs of students and teachers.
The City Council is also making progress in improving access to the new school. The planned actions include the organization of pedestrian access, the creation of a pedestrian-cyclist lane next to the old CV-935, and the adaptation of the surroundings to facilitate mobility. The project also includes traffic management at the accesses and a parking area to expand existing spaces and avoid conflicts during peak hours.
These works were put out to tender on April 2 for an amount of 305,671.68 euros. They are currently in the offer evaluation phase for subsequent award and execution. The government team maintains that the new school represents an important step for the educational present and future of Almoradí, by improving public offerings and responding to the growth of the municipality.
