This program, which will distribute nearly nine million euros across the entire province, places special emphasis on smaller municipalities, particularly those with fewer than 500 inhabitants and those at risk of depopulation.
“"The +Cerca Plan will allow the town councils of Vega Baja and Baix Vinalopó to have funds to cover expenses such as the conditioning, improvement, or maintenance of parks and gardens, sports facilities, municipal swimming pools, or medical clinics."
Furthermore, the provincial representative highlighted the freedom and autonomy that the +Cerca Plan grants to municipalities, allowing them to decide the allocation of funds according to their local needs and priorities.
This year, the aid distribution criteria include a base amount of 33,000 euros for each beneficiary municipality. Additional amounts are added based on the number of inhabitants. As a novelty, municipalities with fewer than 500 inhabitants are included for the first time, receiving 175 euros per inhabitant.
Municipalities with a population between 500 and 1,000 inhabitants will receive 125 euros per inhabitant, while those with between 1,000 and less than 5,000 inhabitants will obtain 11 euros per inhabitant. An additional criterion linked to depopulation grants an extra 10 euros per inhabitant to municipalities that have lost more than 7% of their population in the last ten years.
