The call from Ivace+i for the development of R&D projects in strategic technologies has received 89 applications from technology centers in the Valencian Community, with a budget of 15.5 million euros.

This line of aid aims to enhance the technological, industrial, and innovation capacity of the Valencian productive sector. According to the Department of Industry, Tourism, Innovation and Commerce, the response demonstrates the robustness of the regional innovation ecosystem in generating projects with significant scientific and economic impact.
The proposals focus on non-economic research that involves effective collaboration with companies in the Valencian Community. The goal is to facilitate knowledge transfer through the validation of technologies in real or relevant environments, aiming for technology readiness levels TRL 6 or TRL 7.

"All projects must be aimed at the demonstration or validation of technologies in relevant or real environments, with the goal of facilitating their subsequent transfer to companies."

In the 2026 edition, Ivace+i has reoriented its aid to address real market needs, favoring strategic autonomy and operational efficiency. Priority areas include digitalization, with a special emphasis on data exploitation, digital twins, and advanced sensors, as well as biotechnology and health.
Finally, industrial sustainability is a fundamental pillar of the call. Numerous initiatives oriented towards the circular economy have been presented, ranging from recycling and waste recovery to efficient water management, the development of next-generation batteries, and the search for alternatives to critical materials.
