Vinaròs celebrated the festival of the Virgen de la Misericordia, the city's patron saint, this Sunday, bringing together thousands of residents for a day of faith, tradition, and community.

The day began with the traditional pilgrimage from the Arciprestal church to the hermitage, with nearly seventy pilgrims accompanied by the mayor, María Dolores Miralles, members of the municipal corporation, and representatives of the Brotherhood of the Patron Saints. The image of the Virgin was carried by Mosén Maxi.
After the Pilgrims' Mass, the hermitage square hosted traditional dance exhibitions by the folk group Les Camaraes, in front of numerous attendees who enjoyed the activities under warm temperatures.
The High Mass, held subsequently, concluded with the blessing of the municipal term. One of the most anticipated moments was the popular distribution of rice, organized for those who had previously purchased their tickets. The meal, prepared in several large paella pans, was blessed by Mosén Emili Vinaixa, with the attendance of the festival queens and ladies-in-waiting, and municipal representatives.
In the afternoon, the celebration moved to the urban center with an evening mass at the Arciprestal church, preceding the solemn reception of the Virgin's image. The day will culminate with the procession and the traditional floral offering, an emotional event with the participation of numerous associations, groups, and residents of the town.
