The future special education center in Vinaròs, planned for Leopoldo Querol avenue, will offer adapted educational support and basic vocational training for 100 students from the Baix Maestrat.

The new educational facility in Vinaròs will expand resources for students with special needs in the Baix Maestrat. The center will accommodate 100 students, fulfilling a long-standing demand from families and the educational community in the region.
It will feature 12 adapted teaching units for early childhood, primary, and secondary education stages, along with two specific modules for basic vocational qualification programs, aimed at enhancing student autonomy and future opportunities. Courses will include titles in Agro-gardening and Floral Arrangements, and Bakery and Pastry activities, providing a practical and professional focus.
The project has progressed with the awarding of the basic and execution project design, as well as construction management, to Cor Asoc SL for 326,349 euros (VAT included). The contractor will have six months to deliver the technical documentation.
The deputy mayor of Vinaròs, Juan Amat, highlighted that this award marks a new phase in realizing this much-anticipated infrastructure. The new center complements other educational initiatives in the city, such as the expansion and renovation of the IES José Vilaplana, which involves an investment of 14.1 million euros.
