The new integrated health center in Vinaròs, scheduled to open in February 2027, will involve an investment of 8.1 million euros and span approximately 2,000 square meters. Located on Leopoldo Querol avenue, this facility will house a Continuous Care Point for emergencies, Family Medicine and Pediatrics consultations, and a Mental Health Unit. It will also feature areas for Extractions and Treatments, specialties like Traumatology and Ophthalmology, along with administrative and staff rest areas.
The expansion of outpatient services at the Comarcal Hospital of Vinaròs, currently out for tender at 2.5 million euros, will add 18 new consultation rooms and provide larger offices and cabinets for specialties such as ophthalmology and traumatology.
Furthermore, a new mental health building will be constructed, with an investment close to 10 million euros. This facility, which will centralize all mental health care, both outpatient and inpatient, will include 10 hospitalization beds, an addiction treatment unit, and services for adults and children/adolescents. Minister Marciano Gómez highlighted the increase in mental health personnel, from 3 hires between 2015 and 2023 to 9 in two and a half years.
The Valencian Government will allocate nearly 20 million euros to these projects, aiming to strengthen public healthcare and offer more modern and efficient services. The mayor of Vinaròs, María Dolores Miralles, emphasized the project's necessity, noting it as a long-awaited initiative, and praised the collaboration between the Ministry and the City Council.
