The Vall d'Albaida has presented the results of its Destination Tourism Sustainability Plan, which has allowed the consolidation of a new model based on sustainability, cooperation, and intelligent territory management.

After two years of implementation, the Destination Tourism Sustainability Plan (PSTD) has transformed the region's tourism approach. The technical conference held on April 28 at the Mancomunitat headquarters demonstrated the transition from a strategic plan to real and coordinated execution among the 34 municipalities.
With an investment of 1,220,757 euros, sourced from Next Generation EU European funds, the PSTD has deployed concrete actions with a supramunicipal vision. These actions have redefined the way tourism is understood in the Vall d'Albaida.

"We need all 34 municipalities to extend this work and consolidate a joint and cohesive way of working."

Key actions include climate and fire risk prevention, environmental restoration of the Benicadell hillside, improvement of trails and greenways, and the implementation of smart tourism signage. Additionally, a new web platform with a route planner has been created, and 12 informative totems have been installed in the municipalities. The cycling tourism product Roda la Vall has also been promoted, serving as a backbone for the regional tourism offer.
Digitalization has been a fundamental pillar, consolidating itself as an essential condition for decision-making. The implementation of a tourism intelligence system allows for the analysis of real data, measurement of impacts, and adjustment of strategies with objective criteria, improving the efficiency of public tourism management. The Smart Office of La Vall d'Albaida has been configured as a key tool to ensure the continuity and coherence of all actions.
During the conference, the new Strategic Tourism Plan 2025-2030 was also presented, which gathers accumulated experience and lays the groundwork for consolidating a sustainable, accessible, intelligent, and aligned tourism model with the needs of the territory and visitors. The shared conclusion is that La Vall d'Albaida demonstrates that it is possible to advance towards a competitive tourism model with shared vision, methodology, and cooperation.
