The council has set a strategic goal for 2026 to resolve the energy limitations affecting part of this industrial area. Although sectors II and III are operating normally, the lack of sufficient supply in sector I acts as a brake on new investments and business development.
After a first failed attempt between 2019 and 2024, in which the necessary administrative authorizations were not obtained, the municipal government has decided to resume the action. According to sources from the responsible department, this year's budget has allowed for the drafting of a new technical proposal to soon begin the processing with Iberdrola and the Generalitat.
The proposed solution consists of a three-phase underground double-circuit line that will connect the Los Olmos industrial estate with El Regadiu. With this infrastructure, which will be over 4,000 meters long and will run through public paths and land, the industrial estate will have a dual power supply, adding the Beneixama substation to the current connection from Ontinyent.
