The Provincial Council of Valencia has financed various improvements in Benissuera, within the framework of the Pla Obert, to promote rootedness and help combat depopulation in this municipality of Vall d'Albaida.

Among the actions carried out in Benissuera, these include the opening of a shop, the rehabilitation of the bus stop and the town entrance, and the provision of entertainment areas for both the elderly and children. Roads have also been adapted, a new bar has opened, and a cultural center has been created, to offer a safe space for residents.

"With the Pla Obert, we are improving the town through basic services that we need."

the mayor of the municipality
The municipality has received a total of 705,646 euros from the Pla Obert d'Inversions, an amount that exceeds by 83,541 euros that of the plans from the previous legislature. This investment is crucial for offering better services and making life more comfortable for residents of sparsely populated areas.

"It is fundamental that municipalities with small populations like Benissuera carry out all these types of improvements that make life more comfortable for their inhabitants. It is about offering them better services because living in a small town cannot mean being a second-class citizen."

the president of the Provincial Council
The Provincial Council actively works in the fight against depopulation, advancing in the structuring of the province not only with the Pla Obert, but also with specific aid that contributes to retaining population. The objective is for people to be able to live with dignity in their towns and not be forced to abandon them.
