The alert will directly affect the northern coast of Alicante, the area to which the municipality of Dénia belongs, as well as the interior of both provinces and the southern Valencian coast.
According to the official bulletin issued by the meteorological agency, the rain alert will be in effect between 1:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Forecasts indicate that rainfall may accumulate up to 20 liters per square meter in just one hour.
During the same time frame, an alert for storms will be activated, which have a high probability of being accompanied by hail and very strong wind gusts.
Aemet reminds that the yellow alert level indicates the forecast of strong storms, but due to the variable nature of these atmospheric phenomena, it is not ruled out that higher intensities may be recorded sporadically in localized areas.
