Ontinyent became the hub of state digital tourism this past weekend, hosting 60 content creators who explored the attractions of the Vall d’Albaida capital.

A total of 60 travel-specialized content creators visited Ontinyent for the 9th anniversary celebration of the association Comunitat Valenciana Travel Bloggers (CVTB). Participants from various autonomous communities took the opportunity to discover and promote the main heritage, cultural, gastronomic, and natural attractions of the capital of Vall d’Albaida through their social media.
The official welcome took place on Saturday morning at the Palau de la Vila, led by the deputy mayor and councilor for Economic Promotion, Natàlia Enguix, and the Councilor for Tourism, Mª José Alhambra. Enguix emphasized the importance of hosting initiatives that project a modern and dynamic image of the city, boosting local economic activity through culture, commerce, and heritage. Alhambra, in turn, thanked the content creators for their presence, stating they would become «magnificent ambassadors of our heritage,» and highlighted the city's commitment to sustainable, cultural, and quality tourism based on authentic experiences.
The president of CVTB, Bruno Tomàs, explained that the collective chooses a different location each year for its anniversary to generate promotional exchange. He noted that through their networks and blogs, they would share their experiences in Ontinyent, particularly highlighting activities such as the traditional sausage-making workshop, visits to the air-raid shelters, and the tour of the flooded park, which positively surprised them. The founding president of the association, Enrique Gandía, detailed that 60% of attendees were from the Valencian Community, with the rest from across Spain, mainly Madrid and Barcelona. Gandía underscored the growing interest in «accessible and authentic destinations like Ontinyent, far from mass tourism,» and thanked the City Council for their collaboration.
Throughout the weekend, the travel bloggers explored emblematic sites such as the Museu del Tèxtil de la Comunitat Valenciana, the Parc de les Mamàs Belgues and the historic center, the Civil War air-raid shelters, and the flooded park. The program also included gastronomic experiences and a commemorative gala at Sala Gomis. The meeting resulted in an intensive digital promotion campaign.
