The Councilor for Internal Government, Adrià Vila, has criticized the statements by Víctor Soler regarding the Generalitat's 2026 budget, lamenting the lack of reference to funds owed to Gandia.

The Councilor for Internal Government, Adrià Vila, has commented on the statements made by PP spokesperson Víctor Soler concerning the planned investments in Gandia within the Generalitat's 2026 budget project. Vila expressed regret that Soler did not mention the more than 8 million euros that the Generalitat owes the city, funds that have been advanced by the citizens.
“The PP spokesperson appeared like a debtor to talk about investments, but said nothing about the need to pay what is owed to Gandia,” stated Vila, who also criticized Víctor Soler's limited influence within the Valencian Government. According to the councilor, the only things he can present are allocations already committed during the Botànic era, such as the 2.2 million designated for the Gandia Arena and actions on the CV-60.
Furthermore, Vila pointed out the Consell's lack of commitment to key projects such as the expansion of the Grau Health Center, which is allocated only 50,000 euros, or the 95,000 euros for the study of the railway connection with Dénia. “Between what they owe us and the more than four million euros lost in aid since he joined the Generalitat Government, Mr. Soler has become a burden hindering Gandia's progress,” he added.
The municipal government is currently analyzing the regional budgets in detail and will submit all necessary appeals to claim the outstanding amounts and demand the fulfillment of commitments made to Gandia. Vila concluded by stating: “Soler has missed another opportunity, yet another, to show he is on the side of Gandia's residents. His only commitment is to his political career within the PP and the Generalitat.”
