Paiporta City Council has approved two budget modifications totaling nearly 3 million euros, funded by the 2025 Treasury surplus, to drive reconstruction efforts, improve public services, enhance security, and implement new municipal investments.

Paiporta's ordinary May plenary session has greenlit two budget modifications amounting to nearly 3 million euros, funded by the 2025 Treasury surplus. These measures primarily aim to boost post-DANA reconstruction initiatives, enhance public services, strengthen security and emergency response, improve parking facilities, and support new municipal investments.
The first modification, approved with votes in favor from Compromís and PSPV and abstentions from PP and VOX, totals 924,364.39 euros and focuses on personnel. The second, approved with the support of the governing team and opposition parties voting against, includes 2,065,711.98 euros for investment projects, public services, emergencies, and social programs.
The mayor of Paiporta, Vicent Ciscar, highlighted the City Council's "solidity and sound financial health," emphasizing that the current economic situation allows for confidently addressing the municipality's reconstruction after the DANA, continuing to improve public services, and driving strategic investments for the future.
The adjusted 2025 Treasury surplus reaches 11,896,899.48 euros, a fiscal year marked by the extraordinary context of the DANA and the management of state funds for damage repair. Ciscar explained that the damages from the October 2024 DANA have led to an "unprecedented economic and administrative mobilization" for the City Council, which has had to balance reconstruction efforts with the ordinary functioning of services and the development of new projects.
Among the most significant investments, 90,000 euros are allocated to strengthening social services, boosting the local economy, and expanding inclusion and work-life balance policies. This includes municipal contributions to projects subsidized by the Ivace, the creation of a Management and Modernization Entity (EGM), and local commerce campaigns. Additionally, 230,000 euros will be dedicated to training and employment programs, aiming to ensure the continuity of workshops supported by Labora.
In the social sphere, 944,081 euros are allocated for future Social Welfare facilities, a project co-financed by the Provincial Council of Valencia's Investment Plan. The Summer, Christmas, and Easter Schools will be 100% inclusive thanks to a budget of 120,000 euros, and 536,921 euros will be used to improve the accessibility of the public company Espai's headquarters.
Regarding security enhancements, 15 new positions have been created for the Local Police, and two new officers have joined the Emergency Office. Furthermore, 350,000 euros have been allocated for a municipal public address system for alerts and emergencies. An additional 110,000 euros will be dedicated to renting and maintaining plots for public parking, reinforcing the "Plan Aparca" to address the increase in the vehicle fleet.
Thanks to the surplus, new cultural, sports, and leisure activities organized or promoted by the City Council will also be supported.
