The City Council of Tavernes de la Valldigna has completed the installation of 25 solar lighting points along 500 meters of the 'Camí del Mur', enhancing the safety and visibility of this emblematic route.

This initiative, which has provided the area with increased visibility and security, is part of the continuous improvement of energy efficiency and sustainability in the municipality. The total investment for this public lighting project, identified as PRCV-38, amounted to 17,949.14 euros (VAT included).
The funding for this project was made possible through a subsidy received by the Mancomunitat de Municipis de la Safor, with funds from the European Union – Next GenerationEU. This aid is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Government of Spain, managed through Turisme Comunitat Valenciana and the Ministry of Industry and Tourism.

"It is one of the most emblematic, frequented, and healthy routes in the municipality, and we are now making it a more pleasant and safe path with warm light so that everyone can enjoy this route both day and night."

Lara Romero · Mayor of Tavernes de la Valldigna
For his part, Emilio Fonseca, Councillor for Tourism, highlighted the importance of this improvement. He emphasized that the new lighting addresses the lack of adequate lighting conditions that the area previously had, now guaranteeing the safety of the route's users.
