The Civil Guard has arrested six individuals, four of whom have been remanded in custody, for up to thirty offenses committed in La Safor and the province of Alicante.

In September 2025, agents detected a significant increase in robberies in the Oliva-Gandia area, including motor vehicle thefts, burglaries in occupied homes, and robberies in hospitality venues, pharmacies, gas stations, and tobacconists. Analysis of crime scene inspections revealed common patterns in car thefts and shop break-ins, with a modus operandi involving prior vehicle theft, concealment, and subsequent use for assaults.
Operation “Tikras” was initiated. Studying footage from various commercial security cameras and traffic surveillance cameras allowed officers to observe the presence of previously stolen vehicles before and after the commission of crimes, enabling approximate tracking of the suspects' routes. The investigation led to the full identification of several individuals, some already known to investigators for their historical links to criminal activity in the Safor region.
Four house searches were conducted in Gandia, Almoines, and Les Palmeres, resulting in the arrest of five men (aged between 20 and 43) and one woman (aged 30). One of the detainees also had two active judicial warrants for search, arrest, and appearance.
They are accused of 20 counts of theft with force, nine counts of vehicle theft or unauthorized use, two counts of weapons possession, two counts of drug trafficking, one count of driving without ever having obtained a license, and one count of criminal group integration. A judicial authority has ordered four of them to be imprisoned, while the other two have been released on bail.
Seized items include a pen-type firearm, another unregistered short firearm, ammunition, two prohibited bladed weapons (a butterfly knife with a 10 cm blade and a spring-loaded knife with an 8 cm blade). Also confiscated were drugs and narcotics: 105.18 grams of cocaine, 204 grams of marijuana, 36.91 grams of hashish, 30 dosed cartons containing LSD, 3.59 grams of methamphetamine (known as crystal), and 21 ecstasy/amphetamine pills. Additionally, over 2,700 euros in cash, clothing used in the commission of offenses, and mobile terminals were seized.
