The investigation, part of Operation Tikras, has led to the dismantling of a group that allegedly stole vehicles, hid them for a period to hinder their location, and later used them to carry out assaults. The inquiry began in September 2025 after officers detected a considerable increase in robberies in the Oliva-Gandia area. The offenses targeted inhabited homes, hospitality establishments, pharmacies, gas stations, tobacconists, and also included vehicle theft.
The investigation area of the main post in Oliva-Gandia analyzed ocular inspections and detected a consistent pattern in both vehicle theft and the method of accessing establishments. Security camera footage and traffic surveillance recordings from several municipalities in la Safor helped reconstruct the suspects' movements and identify the alleged perpetrators.
Once the investigation was judicially processed, the Civil Guard located the involved parties' residences and conducted four searches: two in Gandia, one in Almoines, and another in Les Palmeres. The operation resulted in the arrest of five men aged between 20 and 43, and one woman aged 30. One of the arrestees also had two active judicial warrants for search, arrest, and appearance.
The six detainees are accused of twenty counts of robbery with force, nine counts of vehicle theft or unauthorized use, two counts of weapons possession, two counts of drug trafficking, one count of driving without ever having obtained a license, and one count of belonging to a criminal group. Judicial authorities have ordered the imprisonment of four of the arrestees, while the other two have been released on bail.
During the searches, officers seized a pen-type firearm, an unregistered short firearm, .32 caliber ammunition, and two prohibited bladed weapons: a butterfly knife and a spring-loaded knife.
Additionally, 105.18 grams of cocaine, 204 grams of marijuana, 36.91 grams of hashish, 30 dosed LSD tabs, 3.59 grams of methamphetamine, and 21 ecstasy or amphetamine pills were confiscated. Over 2,700 euros in cash, clothing allegedly used in the robberies, and several mobile phone terminals were also seized.
The investigation was carried out by agents from the main post of Oliva-Gandia, who have forwarded the proceedings to the civil and instruction section of the court in Gandia, number 3.
