Two young men, aged 19 and 20, have been provisionally imprisoned without bail in Gandia, accused of attempted homicide and injuries for assaulting a man with a bottle at a nightclub.

The judicial decision comes after both individuals were arrested on Sunday, following a brawl that occurred in the early hours of the same day outside an entertainment venue on Gandia beach. The duty judge in the capital of La Safor decreed the precautionary measure after taking their statements.
The events took place shortly after 4:30 AM, when a confrontation began between several young people. According to eyewitnesses, a group of five or six individuals confronted two others, using various objects. During the dispute, two of the assailants used a broken glass bottle to attack the victims.
One of the victims, a 25-year-old man, suffered serious neck injuries that required emergency surgery. The other victim needed stitches on his arm. The swift action of the Local Police, National Police, and SAMU health services was crucial in saving the life of the more seriously injured man, who was transferred to the Hospital Clínico de Valencia with a reserved prognosis due to vascular damage and significant blood loss. The other injured person was treated at the Hospital Francesc de Borja de Gandia.
Investigations, led by the Judicial Police of Gandia, allowed for the location and arrest of the two alleged perpetrators. One was identified by the Local Police thanks to witness descriptions, and the second was apprehended hours later. The case remains open to clarify all details of the assault and determine the degree of involvement of other participants.
