The IV Safor Health Fair will take place in Oliva this weekend, organized by the Gandia Health Department and Oliva City Council, to recognize the work of entities and foster community well-being.
The event will be held at the Polivalent Center on Friday, April 17 in the afternoon and Saturday, April 18 in the morning, open to the public of all ages. Under the motto ‘We make health, we make town’, the fair seeks to highlight the importance of community participation as a key element for health and well-being.
“
"The fair is one of the best ways to show the population everything that is done for community health, that is, those actions carried out outside health centers to improve health and well-being and reduce social inequalities with the participation of the community as the protagonist of this process."
The first day, Friday, will include two round tables on emotional well-being in young people and sustainability, with experts in these fields. Additionally, workshops on smoking cessation and plant cultivation will be offered, along with a cultural activity by the Oliva Theater School. The day will conclude with informational exhibitors from local and regional associations dedicated to health and well-being.
On Saturday, the fair will focus on promoting physical exercise and social interaction. More than 600 people from the ‘Camina’ program groups from 22 localities of the health department, both from the Safor region and Vall d'Albaida, are expected to gather. Participants will engage in physical activities and receive diplomas. Among the participating localities, in addition to Oliva, are Tavernes de la Valldigna, Gandia, Vilallonga, Bellreguard, Barx, Almoines, Miramar, Real de Gandia, Castelló de Rugat, Piles, Daimús, La Font d'en Carròs, Simat de la Valldigna, Rafelcofer, Xeraco, Rótova, Benifairó de la Valldigna, Ador, Palma de Gandia, Palmera, and Benirredrà.
“
"The IV Safor Health Fair is the result of months of work between the Gandia Health Department and the Oliva Health Board to highlight public health and institutional collaboration, and to recognize the involvement of Oliva Camina, the Oliva health center, and the professionals who promote healthy habits."
“
"We are very happy to host the Health Fair in Oliva, also for what it means in terms of valuing sport as a promoter of health."
