The AC Gandia Weightlifting Club delivered an excellent performance at the Spanish Absolute Championship held in La Nucía. The club's five representatives completed a high-level competition, significantly contributing to the success of Valencian weightlifting.
Michael Otero was crowned the Spanish champion in the 60-kilogram category, securing his eleventh national absolute title. This victory reaffirms his status as one of the leading figures in Spanish weightlifting.
Laura Cháfer became the Spanish runner-up in the 69-kilogram category, also achieving the fifth-best overall female mark of the championship.
Martina Gramajo earned the bronze medal in the Olympic Total for the 58-kilogram category, demonstrating consistency and talent throughout the competition.
Carmen Gallardo secured the bronze medal in the Snatch for the 48-kilogram category, narrowly missing out on a medal in the Olympic Total.
Vicente Bernabéu finished in a commendable sixth position in the 94-kilogram category, one of the most competitive and closely contested divisions of the championship.
The results from AC Gandia played a significant role in the federation standings. The Valencian team achieved the women's Spanish runner-up title and a brilliant third position in the men's category, highlighting the strong current state of weightlifting in the Valencian Community.
