The team from Valldigna, known as the "roget", concluded the regular phase of the Lliga Comunitat in third place in the North group. This achievement allows them to compete in the promotion playoffs to Tercera RFEF, a new challenge after being crowned champions of La Nostra Copa. The first playoff will be a two-legged tie against CF Benidorm, runner-up of the South group.

The first leg will be played at the home ground of Tavernes this Saturday, May 16, while the return leg will take place in Alicante. UE Tavernes enters this decisive phase after a 0-1 victory against CB Burriana, demonstrating their strength as an away team and overcoming an opponent who had beaten them in the first round.

The winning goal against CB Burriana came in the 53rd minute, thanks to a play by Erik down the wing who assisted Seral, who then beat the local goalkeeper. Another goal by Seral was controversially disallowed. In the other promotion playoff, Riba-roja CF, runner-up of the North group, will face SC Torrevieja, third in the South group.

The two winners of this first round of the promotion playoff will meet in the final, also a two-legged tie. The winner of this final will be promoted to Tercera RFEF, joining the group champions, CD Acero and CD Eldense "B", who have already secured direct promotion. UE Tavernes has a historic opportunity to move up to a national category, although the task will not be easy given the potential of their rivals.
