La Safor Presents Raspall Trophy with Top Players from the Region

The men's and women's raspall championship will start on April 27 in Xeraco and conclude on May 3 in Piles, with semifinals in Oliva and B finals in Bellreguard.

The Mancomunitat de Municipis de la Safor has unveiled the Mancomunitat de la Safor Raspall Professional Trophy, a competition that will bring together the best male and female 'pilotaris' from the region in various locations.

This men's and women's raspall championship will kick off next Monday, April 27, at the Xeraco 'trinquet' and will conclude on May 3 in Piles. The municipality of Oliva will host the semifinal on April 28, while Bellreguard will be the venue for the B finals on Saturday, May 2.
The presentation ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Mancomunitat de Municipis de la Safor, in Gandia. The president of the Mancomunitat de la Safor, Jordi Puig, emphasized the entity's commitment to promoting the native sport, with the aim of having the best 'pilotaris' from the region compete in the 'trinquets' of Piles, Bellreguard, Xeraco, and Oliva.

"The will of the Mancomunitat de la Safor is to bet on our native sport, with the objective that the best male and female 'pilotaris' play in our region and that the 'pilotaris' from La Safor can also do so, in four venues such as Piles, Bellreguard, Xeraco, and Oliva. We encourage everyone to follow this Trophy."

The championship will begin on Monday, April 27, at the Xeraco 'trinquet' at 5:00 PM with the first semifinals. In women's raspall, Erika and Júlia will face Vanessa, Amparo, and Isabel. Following this, it will be the turn of the first men's semifinal, where Ian, Seve, and Bossio will compete against Vicent, Raúl, and Alejandro.
The second semifinals will be played on Tuesday, April 28, at the Oliva 'trinquet', featuring Clara, Natalia, and Patri against the team of Maria, Mar, and Anabel at 5:00 PM. Subsequently, the second men's raspall elimination round will pit Vercher, Tonet IV, and Néstor against Marrahí, Lorja, and Canari.
The matches for third place in both championships will be played on May 2 at the Bellreguard 'trinquet', with the women's final at 5:00 PM and the men's final at 6:00 PM. The event that will close the Mancomunitat de la Safor Trophy 2026 will take place on Sunday, May 3, at the 'Císcar' 'trinquet' in Piles, with the women's raspall final starting at 09:45 AM and the men's final at 11:30 AM.
The trophy will feature the participation of five professional players from the region: Vercher from Piles, Vicent and Canari from Xeraco, Júlia from Tavernes de la Valldigna, and Patri from Beniflà.
