The city of Gandia is preparing for the XIII Motor Show, a consolidated event that will take place from May 8 to 10 in the city center, featuring 33 commercial firms and expecting to attract thousands of visitors.

The Councillor for Commerce highlighted that this fair is highly anticipated by citizens and this year it comes with more appeal, dynamism, and a forecast of increased visits and sales. She emphasized the unique nature of the event, as it is the only motor show held outdoors in a city center, making it a great urban showcase for the sector.

"We want the city to be more alive than ever during these days."

In this edition, the 33 commercial firms will offer a wide variety of products, including new vehicles, used vehicles, motorcycles, electric scooters, and adapted vehicles for people with reduced mobility. The fair not only boosts the motor sector but also local commerce, hospitality, and services.
A representative of the sector and vice-president of the Association of Automobile Distributors of La Safor highlighted the strength of the automotive business fabric in Gandia, describing it as unusual for a city of its size. He explained that the city has a brand representation comparable to large capitals such as Valencia, Madrid, or Barcelona, generating investment and employment in the municipality.
Furthermore, significant technological innovations have been announced, especially with the arrival of new international brands, many of them Asian, which are leading the sector's development. The advance towards autonomous driving has also been noted, which could begin to be tested in Europe in the coming years.
From the business sector, the manager of a company in the sector and president of the Association of Automobile Distributors of La Safor thanked the support of the City Council and highlighted the constant growth of the event. She pointed out that the fair will once again be a key space for accessing exclusive offers, with special discounts on vehicles and financing available only during the event days.
She also emphasized the rise of electric vehicles, driven by both public aid and the geopolitical context and growing concern about energy dependence. In this regard, she recalled that subsidies exist for both the purchase of electric vehicles and the installation of charging points, even in community housing.
Regarding figures, the sector shows signs of recovery, with a national market that has exceeded 1.2 million units sold, approaching pre-pandemic levels. Last year's fair surpassed eight million euros in turnover. The official inauguration will be on Friday, May 8, at 11:00 AM, with general hours from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and on Sunday, the fair will conclude at 6:00 PM.
